carnival ride
the year has really been crazy. for the past few weeks, it has been even crazier and mad!
yup, if you didn't already know ... i did horribly bad for final year exams and i was on the brink of retaining/repeating. it was a really scary experience which really shook me and woke me up from my slumber! all i knew was that "27 pts 27 pts 27 pts" got stuck in my head and everywhere i see people in school comparing marks like "o! i got 34 points and all" ... i felt really demoralized and kept asking myself "was that your best you've got? how about the sec 1 & 2 days where you were scoring so well?!"
oh wells, i also thought to myself: "this is the test of faith. your faith in God is really put to the test when you're in your most dire straits and this is clearly an example. you won't know what will happen. but you do know that there's someone up there, someone who's far greater and almight who is always beside you to guide you, to stick with you, to weather through the darkest storms and days with you".
i never did realize or imagine that this day would come. i've always been escaping those crazy moments and miserable times ... but nothing can compare to this ... it's really what people call the ultimate shame because it's like ... if you retain, you'll be with your juniors and you kinda will definitely feel awkward in a way or another. no one can understand this feeling unless he/she has been through such a thing.
but thank God, and all my friends whom I've smsed to and told this sad tale to. because ... just 2 days before i left for m'sia for the bb primers challenge ... i received a call from the year director. he broke the news to me then. my heart was thumping as i heard the words that flowed into my ears. i was like "pls God, pls help me through ... I know You are the One who can truly help me through any crisis". and then the year director said ".. you're promoted. please work hard during this hols ..." and i was like "hallelujah! praise the Lord! you're truly magnificient and gracious and all the more powerful!"
just when you thought you're gonna fall into a pit, God is there to bring you back from your darkest moments in your life. people around me have been encouraging me and supporting me ... namely Tao Han, Ben Ng, Mike Saat, Gab Chan ... and so many more. I really must say thank you to you guys!! without you, i dun even know where i'll be hiding in regret and shame.
anyways, for the past month, many things have happened ... and they are;
- ee/tok draft submissions
- interviews for ee
- focus camp
- math port
- bb sgb stuff
- bb primers challenge (this will be coming soon!)
- caroling + coordination
- but the best part was ... my birthday (coming soon too!)
