SHOPPING SPREE (PART 2)
didn't expect to go on another shopping spree ... but this time is more of window shopping than actual buying ... but anyways, after the chinese oral thingy in the library + some walking round raffles city basement (ate a hhappy stick strawberry flavour = it was great!!!) and watch yuen eating his mos burger meal + chatting for about an hour or so ... we parted to go our own directions.
i went back to bras basah area ... went to popular to buy some essentials and then ... went to a guitar shop to buy my much-sort-after GUITAR TUNER!!! now i can finally play in peace ... and together with the pick ... it only makes me 2/3 happy for the guitar package ... what's missing is my own guitar (hmm ... when should i buy it ... what brand ... PAULL ... help me!!).
yeah ... then before i slept last nite (this morning) ... went to tune the guitar ... so weird ... tuning the guitar at like 1.10am++.
CHINESE ORAL GROUP DISCUSSION
yuen + towgay + me met up at the national library to do some chinese oral group research + discussion ... went to the 7th level ... and realised we couldn't bring in alot of stuff ... mere stuff like bag had to be scrutinised ... like some airport security check.
anyways, we proceeded with laptops, pen, paper and iPod!! haha ... couldn't survive the quietness without that i guess ... yupp ... and guess who we saw?! the council nominee who always ask u for ur vote upon meeting him ... and it's none other than JS ... ahha ... it was hilarious ... cuz what i just mentioned really happened when he came over to talk to us. and yuen + towgay told me some history abt him ... oh wells, this is reality ... can't avoid much of it. but the funniest had to be that ... yuen said the last time he went to the national library (which was about 1 year or so ago) ... he also saw JS ... haha ... some kind affinity both of them share eh?!! =) =)
MASS CONVO
after doing some work for abt 3 hrs ... (haha ... started late at like 9pm!!) ... while watching some tv ... including AMERICAN IDOL (man!! it was the bomb! country week ... and carrie underwood is singing tonight!!! yeah!!! can't wait!!) ... anyways, yeah ... american idol + work for me ended at 12am ... then went online after receiving the sms from gab regarding the irritating person on fb!
and just merely 5 mins after logging on msn, a MSN mass convo sprouted!! and this time it was me, gab, dean, vince and jon. haha ... no ben this time ... cuz he slept alr! but anyhow ... we were discussing abt some outing ... which all of us were kinda unsure of ...
for me = i was kinda like having this "not go out till u finish ur work" mentality ... but then, i was like ... "aiya ... let's see how ... maybe can"
for gab = i think for him is like ... still got work to do ... cannot neglect studies ... but then again, must have some fun ... plus dean is a friend too!!
for dean = i think ... he wanna go out real badly!!! after cooping himself at home for how long alr ... and sch aint starting till like 3 weeks' time for him ... so yeah .. i guess we can understand how u feel
for vince / jon = not so sure ... but vince wld probably just go cuz sch aint started for him too ... for jon, beats me abt it!
yeah ... so the crazy convo went on ... till like close to 1am ... by then ... gab + me signed out ... but after a while, while i appeared offline to clear my emails ... suddenly gab signed in again!! went high on mnms??! haha ... and ate the hard cookie!!! straight out from the fridge ... diaoz ...
and after which ... the mass convo continued for another abt 15 mins or so ... but i left first .... cuz i had tuition ... (this morning!)
TUITION/LUNCH
today went sch to extract the twentyfour promo vid ... and it was totally hilarious ... everyone will be in for a rude shock! (haha ... ben, we'll make this a success!!) ... yeah, then ... we headed to the bus-stop ... but halfway, i noticed a car rather familiar ... and woo-hoo!! it was auntie audrey's car!!!
ben and i said hi! and guess what next ... we saw mike saat & she gave us a lift to our tuition place!!! and God must've been so kind to us ... cuz it was like 10 mins to tuition ... and we reached our tuition on time! thanks alot man!!!
and during tuition ... ben and i were so happy and blessed!! haha ... cuz dr chan ... praised us ... again!!! but we aint complacent ... cuz there were so many things which we were still unclear of ... had to ask questions to clear our doubts!! but in any case, we were really happy to have tuition today!! cuz we managed to not only have a better understanding ... but more importantly, we were PRAISED!!! yeah!!!
after which, we went ghim moh for lunch and had a hearty lunch + talk. then, after lunch, ben had to go remove his bandage ... his mum picked him up! sigh ... should've asked for a lift ... i was carrying so many things ... but nvm luh ... exercised my way to the mrt. AND AND ... latest update, ben didn't remove the bandage, he got another one instead!! haha ... BLESS YOU FOR YOUR TRIP!!!

the super long post!!
it's been a really really long time since i've last posted ... since like almost 2 months ago!! okay ... i hope to tell you more here! haha ... there's simply too too too much to say!!
NEW CLASS
there is so much to say about 5.14 Corinthians!! firstly, people thought that it was gonna be so bad cuz of some misconceptions ... but actually, it's such a good class man!! there's people like douglas, kenneth, nat nah, tim lim and so many more!! and oh yeah, kenneth + nat nah + tim lim are like my study + full-subject-combi buddies ... we are there at practically everywhere we go ... canteen for free-period, econs project, econs video ... u guys are THE BEST!
and ohh, i'm the class secretary this year! not gunning for the chair or vice-chair as other people should have a opportunity too!! let the girls run for it too!! =) speaking of which, we've raised like $400 over for our class WOW trip ... still short of $2200 for the class. we've sold like bubble tea + cheese nachos ... and they were like BAMMM!!! we were powerhouses at selling those and made a good sum of profit from it.
also on the topic for WOW ... my class is going to sell my lovely cookies!! i was kinda "promoting" them during the orientation and pre-orientation period!! i'm sure it has gained some popularity. and i'm so glad that as of yet (TODAY!!!) i've received 3 orders for a box of like 50 - 60 lovely bite-sized butter cookies ;) yeah ... see the photos below ... yeah!! also, my class is gonna sell more stuff ... so please do support!!
WORSHIP.PHILOTHEOS
i had worship prac on fri - and today was a special day to end off term 1. cuz ... not only were the lessons great - the teachers were kinda slack - or rather, allowed us to rest. then ... after school, gab + ernest came over to our sch canteen for dinner. we had some small chat abt acjc and acsi ppl ... haha ... had loads to exchange about and even touched on the fact of the incident abt some orange specs guy that wasn't shone in positive light.
anyways, all of us had prata ... and it was the same as before!! lovely ... hhaa, too bad gab couldn't really judge our sch's prata as he hasn't tried all the food stalls in acjc!! gab, ernest + me took the train on the way to our respective destinations. ernest continued his ride home, while gab and i went on to church for worship prac. and there i gave some free butter cookies which i baked! (new experiment with milo powder ... but it turned out still good ... less sweet though).
worship on sunday was alright ... nothing very special, but the songs made the entire worship session different. after worship, spent some time chatting with gab, plus played piano for a while with my bro and gab. it was a useful time ... as i finally know how to play the song Laid Aside Your Majesty!! i mean ... like with the chords ... yay! an accomplishment ... took me abt 1-2 weeks to play that. ;) now moving on to guitar!
SMALL GROUP LUNCH + SHOPPING SPREE (PART 1)
it was finally the time ... after much waiting on sunday, after worship services and waiting for all the AYSGLs in our group to finish ... we headed straight for lunch at ... Han's (sigh ...), but i still enjoyed it luh. had the hainanese chicken chop rice set ... haha, budget $6.80 ... and one thing i like abt Han's is that they have already included the GST in their menu ... so it makes things easier that way.
we camwhored, we talked, we ate and did so much more! yiling was so camwhoring as usual ... haha ... the usual yiling poses ... yeah ... not much creativity huh?! but, had a relatively nice lunch with God's people. =) =)
then, grace + sze wing + me + tao han + fiona + andrew lai + wayne all went straight to Ben & Jerry's for some dessert. but, as i was still full, i didn't want to eat anything ice-cream and just settled to feast my eyes on sze wing's tempting ice-cream laid in front of my eyes. we talked more and viewed ym camp photos of 2006 + 2007 + some old photos of hilary and caleb!! haha ... they look so much different now as compared to last time ... also, grace took a shot of wayne's full name on his i/c and ez-link card ... haha ... we can a compare and contrast session!! we should do this for everyone!!
then, on andrew's macbook pro, we were able to camwhore using the various photo booth features ...
MOVING ON; i was doing some shopping afterwhich ... i headed for gramophone to buy kelly clarkson's new ALL I EVER WANTED cd ... her fourth cd!! i love it ... it's so much better than my december.
then, i took a major tour around plaza sing - fox, springfield and many others for a look at their clothing + jeans ... all okay luh ... but prices are just not suitable for the season now. yupp, then i took a train to city hall to continue this mega tour. walked to marina square and had to detour via esplanade as there were police officers. anyways, marina square was another place where was sorta aight ... cuz topman/topshop didn't really have the price to match their clothing ... too ex! but anyways, i walked over to zara ... and it was even worse!!! even more expensive!
then from marina square, i walked to bras basah centre to see if there was the ib physics tim kirk book ... plus also bought 2 guitar picks ... wanted to buy a guitar tuner ... but it seems like i couldn't cuz the price was sky-rocketted $47! better go to peace centre for it.
finally, from bras basah, i walked to bugis street to do some shopping ... and show many many things ... from bags to jeans to wallets to watches. but i was more interested in shirts and jeans ... several shirts were good .. and i bought one which cost me $20 ... didn't want to bargain as it was already so late ... and looked at some china imported jeans ... but then i told myself "nah ... nvm" after a while of looking at them. so, i went home happy with my budgeted $50 worth of shopping.
twentyfour FILMING + SUMMER PALACE
we've reached the climax of the whole post! this time we were at the summer palace again ... filming in the vicinity for twentyfour ... had so many ridiculous scenes!! and the film crew consisted of; me, ben, saat, eddie, lur, noelle, uriah, kevin, gab, ben khoo + kevin elbert ... we were awesome!! doing so many things in one day ... and surprisingly, filming concluded within 2.5 hrs. ;) ;) good job ben!
the summer palace: this (perfect) tenth!!! visit of mine to this wonderful palace just became better! it was better and better each time and this time was no exception. this time ... we had nasi lemak for dinner ... plus - we were having so much fun checking out the facebook things and "dwelling" on the MSN contacts!!! hahah ... first day aint so bad ...
anyways, while saat slept early in his room (on the floor, in his sleeping bag), kev+me+gab+ben went to the entertainment room to talk talk and talk!! the M&Ms were there to accompany us as well ... but after a while, kev and ben konked off ... (kev had canoeing today + ben ... is just ben ... haha jkjk... he was tired). that left me and gab a huge amount of time to talk ... if im not wrong ... we were talking from 3am right up to 7am!!! playing different different songs from both his and my ipod ... and playing the "song game" ... and i got distinction for that one!! yeah!!! it was such a good time to catch up and talk about many silly, crazy, weird, extraordinary and out of your mind stuff!!!
when we went back to the room, kev + ben + gab immd knocked out and slept. while saat and i were doing some math work ... and some funny thing happened to gab ... haha ... his ridiculous "morning reactions" ... haha!!! that was definitely solid! ... only saat and i witnessed it!
while saat had tuition, auntie audrey and i went to cold storage and purchase the baking needs ... and on the way, she told me abt the snake story ... gave me chills at some parts!! but when we came back, some time later ... everyone woke up ... (yes, abt 10.30am??) ... and had the lovely breakfast ... lastly, when kev left for canoeing + ben for tuition, that left me, gab + saat. we managed to bake wonderful cookies!!! gab had this idea of putting M&Ms inside ... and after 20 mins of in the oven ... WAHLAH!! they tasted and smelt good!!! awesome combo!
however, after this eating, funny things happened in the study ... on the com ... exchange of messages between a real and non-existent ... how hilarious it was! a match-made in heaven?! haha ... we shall see about that in the weeks to come.
