both days of heats have officially passed. now, it's down to Day 3 (semis) and Day 4 (finals). it was very nerve-wrecking for me yesterday for the 1K heats. i didn't start properly at the 1K starting line ... and even before i cld adjust myself ... the starter said "start within 10 seconds ... go!" ... and the HCI guy was next to me for the first 200m ... and my leg slipped on the slippery floorboard too ... that explains why it was not a good start ... so, later, he caught up and pulled away while I was still rowing zig-zag manner ... (sigh ...)

anyways, for today's race ... it was more or less more comfortable ... well, as usual, james pulled away at the start ... and halfway through my race ... i heard some guy (either sji or hci) shouting "arrghh" ... it made me speed up just a little to avoid any sudden sprints and battle it out ... but after that, i made sure i was still in position to make it through to the finals. so ... it will be 2 finals events on friday ... and i pray to God that he can give us good weather (the rainy weather this morning was frightening ... but i know that He will make a way!).

well, after the competition, there's gonna be photos and all. so watch this space! haha, funny and intense competition photos coming right up! anyways, i wish everyone in the semis tomorrow a very good luck and for those straight to the finals, don't be complacent and fight for your life (well, that includes me too ;) ... hehe).

there's simply too many things ... indeed! term 3 started off with a bang; change of timetable, the 1-week-only chemistry relief teacher, 2 weeks of relief teaching from K.Lo for lang arts b before Mdm Sharmi comes back, MPAC's vid to the sch for twentyfour, bb ug awards stuff, charity cafe planning, cmps, fps rush ... and finally, canoeing preparation;

tomorrow is just the start of the canoeing competition! this year they spanned it over 4 days cuz of the shortage of space for all 3 divisions - a, b, c ... which is good cuz' that means everyone has the opportunity to rest and charge up for their next race.

well, i am really emotional about these few days being my last good days of the canoeing season. it has really been a carnival ride for me throughout the 4 years and this is my final chance! everyone has a chance and so do i, so i'm going to do my best for it and bring the glory to God. well, now this is my time ... i'm going for it.

more updates coming soon.
