the lights have been turned down. the blinds have been set free. the solids have turned into liquids.
this is the time to burn the flame brighter and project out ...

eee ... eew ... eiw ... iiw ... iil ... ill / it's a bad time, really
when the competition's over, you think it's time to just slow down and lighten the mood. but no, that's not it. there's the flu bug that goes around ppl ... recently, quite a number of ppl have been hit by it ... me, yb, benedict, jwee, zac, shaun, josh ... too many ppl alr ... "I pray to God that you will heal the sick and wounded. I ask for your blessings to be shared amongst everyone who praises Your name..."

with this flu ... there's alot of things u cannot do:
1) run without having the need to stop and breathe in (ALOT)
2) sing without worrying about choking due to lack of air
3) drink/eat in peace
4) talk to people normally
5) sit down and listen to classes properly
yeda yeda yeda ...

route to fps - training sessions / national qualifying round
chester, me, brian, eddie ... the fps team ... we stayed back everyday after school from wed - fri for the practice problems ... and it was kinda lucky that we managed to CHOPP our classroom for it ... also with chester's laptop ... it made the sessions so FUTURISTIC ... not really actually ...

anyways, we were down to serious work and business ... we had to shut the ppl in class up when they played their crazy hit-the-tennis-ball game ... we concentrated on everything from step 1 - 6 ... and thx brian for pointing out my double-problem in 1 ... if not, we would have minus alot of marks from the comp this morning. thank you team-mates for pushing each other and having fun during this time.

we were like laughing at all the crazy and wacky ideas that we had today ... especially the "dating programme" ... "face-to-face interaction" ... "...foundation"

more stuff to come ...

[customized music: "sober" by Kelly Clarkson]

the long and winding journey began fourteen months ago ... the ups and downs of this period took us through the different events and phases of canoeing. for ac-canoeists, do you remember the times of the new k4 try-out? do you remember the long and crazy runs + sprints? do you remember the stormy seas and crashing waves? all these have been happening ... but did we treasure them? first of all, thank you God and the Seniors for pushing us to the limits; especially Nick Lam. You deserve my respect and I really am grateful for every single punishment you have enforced.

thank you seniors ... nick lam yibin daniel clifton shengyu joshua tan brian khoo ming shen nick low neil tan
thank you for the past 3 years of fun.entertainment.enjoyment.memorable moments.

this year's race was the closest and tightest i have ever seen! our c div contributed to the medal haul of 4 golds + sliver + bronze. this is indeed the best c div performance ever ... and kudos to everyone in c div for working so hard, continue to do so and i'm sure they will be able to claim back the long-wanted c div title.

the b div showing was also very very exciting. especially the k1 500m race where brian khoo fought hard + joshua lim constantly not giving up, k1 1000m where clifton exhausted himself to finish the race, t1 500m where yibin and joshua tan battled strong winds to the finish line as well as C2 500m where adrian & hadrian, nick lam and sheng yu had to keep their minds clear from distractions and the wind conditions + many other factors.

it was also a tough fight for weng ngai, ziqiang, lucas, jimmy, fengze, amos, handy in their a div races. all made it to the finals and contributed points to the team. the most intense and nerve-wrecking race was definitely the a div k1 500m race where weng ngai triumphed forward from fourth to second within a length of 100-200m.

overall: c div - SILVER (missed the title by 1 point)
b div - GOLD (proud of everyone)
a div - BRONZE (first time clinching it with 4 races)
