a rough week. both pleasent and unpleasent memories. never in my life had this kind of experience. a love-hate relationship with something. never will it be brought up again as the future unfolds like a flower. tears may have meanings, but to truly define the exact one is definitely difficult for an individual. fret not, help is ahead. as the blog theme suggests: who knows what's inside

well, cL, zT & I had a very fun time at the track & field finals ytd ... laughing here and there, making jokes of all sorts and i was so crazy as to even shout "ppppp" before the starter could even start the first race. that was how random the day was, starting out with a hot and sunny afternoon, before raining like cats and dogs.

i saw many familiar faces on the track, both good friends and close friends. i saw the sec1s (from the psl grp), sec 2s (bb), sec 3s (same house + friends), sec 4s (bb), yr 5/6 (friends). when i reached there, i saw so many ppl doing their warm-up, but i couldn't be bothered to loosen up my legs for a job around the track cuz i was feeling so solo doing it by myself and also to actually do it after a tiring week of ups and downs.

but when the 800m race started, i was off to a very fast and energetic start, when passing the 300m, i could hear Shaunold's voice saying "come'on michael" and also many ppl shouting here and there ... then the second lap started ... i began to slow down like crazy due to insufficient warm-up/stretches and i had used too much energy for the first round to stay at #3, behind farhan and zhiming. then, i was soon overtaken by the rest while i pushed till the end from what was left of me to carry on. later on, i ran the 4x100m baton relay together with patrick, zhiming and andrew fok. this was my third time running since i made my debut back in 2005 (sec 1). we were at #2 position till it came to the final runner, andrew. but because of so many trekkers at the end overtaking andrew, we had to settle for a fourth placing, same as last yr. the day then ended with a downpour.

then today, it came to a new partnership with sT in canoeing, a rather surprising day today, but shan't describe it cuz it was rather bizarre. then went back home after training, getting ready for the annual bb enrolment service in school. it was the first time zT, jL and i attended it in 3 years cuz past 2 years always had sth on. it was war games when we arrived, but couldn't join in cuz of embargo. hmm ... it seems like the war games was so slimy with water, flour, chilli sauce etc flying all over here and there. many people were 'injured' with sauces and also, they had a great time in the 3-hour game. let me end with a light note:

life is too short, don't take it so lightly when you can do alot of things within a stipulated time. no one will be telling you of when it's time's up or the beginning of something new. get past unforeseen situations and move on. all this because there's an Angel watching over you. and that's none other than God.

k ... it's time to post again ... yay ... fine. whatever, for now. it's been a crazy-o-a-doodle week for me since it started off with many things ... like ... getting back results .... right down to founder's day ... then to life sciences symposium. all details will definitely be explained ... and revealed, but just not for the results part, though some will be ... o well, fine, just wait and see.

NO. 1 | the results
my favourite results would be no doubt be ... Advanced Math + IHS ... as for the not-so-glamorous (ooh ... close-say .. close-say: fergie's song ... o well ... crazy me) ... would be physics + chinese (for the first time in 3 years!!). then ... i was so surprised to be one of the did-better-few of the class for C Math ... very unexpected and surprising there ... then our teachers were scolding us left, right, centre, up, down, in, out, flip-side, flip-flop ... well, i shall just keep it short here.

founder's day | NO. 2
it was our school's 121st founder's day ... and the eight one i've watched ever since i joined the primary side of acs ... (acs primary in this case) ... yeah, i started off with filming the event which started off with a rainy morning. everyone thought that it was gonna be a wet-weather programme, but by 7.45am, everyone except the awardees and teacher helpers evacuated the hall and went down to the field to experience the grandest marching contingent ever since i joined the school. but while most of the school got a wide range view from the astro-turf, ppl like ms jamie tan + me + other photographers (dot.dot.dot) got a bird's eye view from the top, in my case was the top level of the IB building. filming was rather fun as it was my first time filming in wet conditions, but under the shelter of an umbrella. and the poor (as in unlucky) marching contingent had to withstand the rainy condition for quite a while ... especially during the GOH inspection ... and o, special mention goes to mr joseph wong for co-ordinating the parade ... fantastic job!!

during the awards session ... i admired all those who received award ... especially the multi-awardees like ... Top in Level, Top in Class, Top in Subjects ... the most was like ... 5 or 6 ... so total ... the person gets like 7 or 8 certs + plagues. well, anonymous ZT received like 3 awards ... enough for me to drool over and ponder over how hard have i been working over the past year + how can i improve on. it really sets people thinking how in the world they work so hard to achieve that level of smartness ... while abraham zee who was filming the event with me ... told me that "during the holidays, they don't go holiday one ... they stay at home study" ... i truly believe this for the scholars cuz their parents spend so much money to send them here ... but for the locals ... skeptical abt that ...

NO. 3 | life sciences symposium
on the day of life sciences symposium, we still had lessons, unlike the year 1 + 2 who could explore the various sites in the school ... and my dear dear friend z.t was confined to a room no bigger than the size of a normal classroom (in da agro-bio lab) ... poor him ... really pitied him as he had to be there from 8 - 5 ... wondered how dry his skin was after staying in the air-con for so long ... that very day ... we were also supposed to watch a movie which we've long wanted to ... but in the end ... he only stayed thru the day for the l.sc symp ... while i went ahead to watch da movie alone ... after the movie, we met somewhere at the citylink there and walked all the way to the 7-11 b4 walking back to the station ... sometimes it really worries me how all these duties have made him abit quiet at times, while some other times ... hyper-hyper-and all the way-super hyper.

bb parade | NO. 4
we (zt, jL + me) were on our first parade since a long, long time ... we had the usual flag-raising, then it was off to a mega-start with LIVE! praise ... i will always go for live! praise ... never leaving it ... it was one of the factors that carried me thru till now ... though we worshiped in an air-con-defunct LT, i was very thankful to see the new batch of sec 1s + the year 6s + the rest all together in 1 LT. then, it was time to give out the bb week cards, which officially begins on 11 mar and end in early april ... (it's weird that it stretched till apr this yr...) inter-wing games was held next and both wings T & S were incorporated inside G,C,P,E. we all had fun especially when wing COLOSSE is da best!!

NO. 5 | bb d.i.t.c camp 2007
it was yet another camp ... the first in six months, ever since the Hike/camp was held back in september last yr. i thot it was gonna be as gruelling as that or like the LDC camp we had last june, but it was rather a more thrilling, exciting, refreshing, and simply entertaining camp. our night games was super-free-of-rules except the fact that when my grp was bound to win ... they decided to change the rule of the game ... instead, they went for a one-for-all, all-for-one kinda game when each of the four wings had to grab the S.P (special pass). but still, that did not stop us from winning the game, we managed to grab hold of it and end the 2-hour mad-rush. o ... and water bombs were used for this again, as usual, but it was very fun.

supper was pizza as i've always loved ... and then, lights out was at 11.59pm. zac and i were chatting for close to 20 mins after lights-out, before we soon went into each others' world of darkness. every hour, i would be waking up for abt 3 mins to check zac's watch to see what time it was ... 01??, 02??, 03??, 04??, 05??, 06?? hrs ... before finally waking up at 6.20am. abit late there though, we head off to the astro-turf for our 5BX at 6.30am, 15 mins before reporting. then, we made our running debut on the turf at abt 7am+. after which, we either played captain's ball or soccer, surprisingly, more people chose captain's ball ... correct me if i was one someone ... we were off to changing into our sunday's best, then to Q.T, finally off to breakfast where we had a spread of any thing that was available - jam/nutella/nutella with peanut butter/peanut butter/kaya/peanut butter with jam ... lovely ... i took 3 slices of bread, though i wanted four ...then i gave it away to tye-r.

we were then off for church service where we saw mr wong ping loong singing ... and i also saw familiar faces ... joshua woo, jeremy (yr six). it was indeed a great time to er-herm ... relax our minds and hearts as we dwelled into a time of worship. it wasn't as bad as previously i thot cuz ... the service was in the audi with brighter lights and fresher air (thought not really lah). lunch was next on the programme list with us, travelling to dover market eating chicken rice ... hainanese chicken rice to be exact ... and some primers were confused with the better stall and the rather okay stall. we also ordered various drinks ... my favourite being the grass jelly this time round.

hours later was drill where we had the time to ourselves for about 20 mins to prepare for our group drill performance. we then headed for the 3.13 classroom where we watched 2 videos (one prepared by the yr 6s, and one by us yr 3s) - farewell videos of course. it was truly touching and inspirational as i looked back and saw three photos of myself from sec 1 till now. we had a second worship for the day and had a powerpoint presentation by mr jarett kan ... we prayed for each other and ... words just can't describe the two and 1/4 yrs we had together ... truly amazing.
