ok ... finally, after like what ... 3 weeks? u r getting the full inside info of what the second day of sgb repayment was on tuesday, 5 dec. a quick look and more updated info coming up after this post.

after a 13-hour thrill-ride of my life on sgb: repayment day one, i was bound for more duty in the second day after canoeing trg. what a rigorous schedule for the day! first up, after changing, we took a bus to j8 and ate lunch there with zac + neil (surprised? he's gotta do cuz' he's missin' on the actual day due to personal commitments ... like a holiday).

we were eating at macdonald's when we witnessed, or rather only I managed to witness a married lady sitting directly opposite her husband having breakfast. she wasn't satisfied with something about the coffee and went to complained with an 'ugly' attitude. meanwhile, the manager was superb with her professionalism which i think anyone would have noticed. she came back with another cup of hot coffee and with compliments, a macdonald's voucher which usually comes with the newspaper - yup, that kind of voucher.

then, we were off to bb hq via train. as neil claimed that he was tired ... real tired ... he sat down on the train leaning next to the closed-door till we reached raffles place for transfer. luckily he leaned against the door ... cuz' earlier on, he was leaning on us ... and his head was heavy. but another thing about on the floor is that it embarrassed us - we were all in our bb attire. once on the train heading for tiong bahru, he quickly sat down and slept a for a good 10 minutes.

the day at warehouse was like ... sigh ... what can i say ... bittersweet? at first i thought it was simply arranging stuff here and there, carrying things here and there, always listening to the ppl in-charge ... but, i was proved wrong. i met familiar faces like samuel chan and really got to know him better too, shane, caleb and joel tieh. oh yeah, talking about joel, later in the day, when the in-charge was asking for 3 volunteers, they called out zac + me to help out ... and then, joel came along as zac pulled him out too. we then proceeded to the van with this guy who looked like someone on tv, but actually, not ... he was just a 20-plus driver, who was rather cool, chatting with us during the wild-ride of collecting s.o.p bags.

on the way, it started to rain ... it poured real heavily. however, our spirits were not dampened as we still continued collecting the s.o.p bags from various places and while we were travelling to our destinations, we played cards (tai-ti) ... and i won all 5 rounds that we played... luck, i guess? for each station, we switched partners - we started off with zac + joel, then, joel + me, zac + me and so on ... it was great fun locating the places especially the one at Ang Mo Kio and some plaza. we were rushing like crazy ... and then, we came to the outram park or chinatown one ... it was such a crazy ride as we had to use trolleys to carry the rice packs and other heavy items. in the end, the driver kindly allowed us to buy stuff from old chang kee as he claimed that he was very flexible and easy-going ... and HE DEFINITELY IS ... kudos to him.

back at the hq, when we discovered we've got no dinner, one of the officer-in-charge managed to help us get some ... and before long, it was soon the end of the day, time to go home ... via 16 and then train. zac + me managed to pass by the wonderful orchard road full of lights! i will never forget this day ...
