it was such a wonderful day today and the past two days too ...on monday we were informed of our classes and i was a shock when i was placed in the same class as shaun ... which meant that we'll be in the same class for 5 years if u include next year ... da longest i ever stayed with a classmate through since pri sch. and then i was like checking which destination we were going next yr ... and it turned out to be Thailand ... (chiang mai), i was rather upset cuz' malacca was rather humid this yr ... and didn't want to end up perspiring in Thailand too.on tuesday it was training at macritchie and then we were back to running 5 rounds with 10 p-ups per round ... it was tiring ... dead-beat .. didn't run in almost "a million years" ... no stamina ... no strength ... no nothing ... was just running my hearts out and dripping wet at the end of the first round. after the canoeing session ... we were told of the situation for next yr's nat'ls competition ... first in 2004 was in Kallang ... then 2005/2006 at MacRitchie ... and then 2007 - Bedok (very high possibility)!! and now the committee is trying to merge the A Div with the B & C Div competition which means the races will probably stretch over 5 days or so ... was totally stunned by this piece of information today first it was the long announcements which had some pretty interestings one too... then we moved on to the old audi ... hearing Dr Ong's very meaning lecture which i hope some will listen and change for the much-much-super-much better ... and then he announced that 3.16 (my class) will be going to Shanghai instead of the previously planned Thailand ... i was hitting my chair with great joy in my heart ... then, he introduced our new Year 3 Director ... who turned out to be none other than Mr Lim Eng Kong ... my ex-Canoeing teacher ... who is strict and precise with words, but generally respects others if u give him respect too. he was the one who encouraged me to go out to the 1000m mark with my K1 last year ... it was very memorable. and then later in class was watching X-Men 3 ... and also the issue of report books ... + so many more things we had to handle ... all the spare time was dedicated for practicing our Inter-Class Vocal Music (Yr 2) song - "This Is The Night".it was time ... 1320hrs ... almost everyone was seated in the hall ... about 40 minutes later ... after 4 classes had performed ... it was time for twang and i to go up on stage to sing ... our hearts were beating non-stop like a drum roll with unexpected unpleasing sudden pauses ... this affected our breathing and stage-presence. well ... twang started off the song very low cuz' of the mike wasn't very loud ... then it was my turn to sing the chorus ... it was frightening when i sang solo ... so i focused towards the right of the audi and looked towards that direction for the entire song. it turned out during the results that the IB Teacher mentioned our performance to the best among the lot ... and we were the CHAMPIONS for Yr 2 (2006) Vocal Music!! yay ... but it would be even better if Mrs Elaine Wan was around ...wednesday, 25 October 2006

the posting season is back again ... after three weeks ... sorry guys, had to tend to some important stuff ... be prepared to read this super-long-post ...yups ... the exams are over, while others may feel high and relaxed ... i'm the total opposite of them. failure to study well resulted in me having to look back on my performance and feel guilty about it. though i started two weeks before, it took me most of that time studying geography, which mostly came out from the later chapters ... and history took up less than five days. the rest of the subjects were between 2 - 5 days. and just on thursday, the results were released ... my heart was thumping while the rest of the class were chatting with one another. no matter how nervous i was, i could never revert back to what it was before two weeks ago when the exams started. neither could i undo what has already been done. depression would be one word i can mention when i received all my results. i had only 3 A1s and the rest were 6 B3s = not-high average, but still manage to be one of the top fifteen of the class (still bad). though 5th in chinese and topped for art (which shared same score with three others), i wasn't really satisfied at all. one PERSON in my class was like so happy when he beat me for 2 - 3 subjects ... and that his average was beating me at that point in time, but when the rest of the papers were given out ... he was too ashame to compare. this kinda people should really learn not to be a proud-blabber and instead be modest ... but i guess ... if he wanna be like that all his life ... well then, i wish him good luck. o ... fyi, his average was not as well as he thought it would be like, but instead i managed to overtake him.well ... now for the happy side, me, JL & HR took part in the preliminary round for the annual inter-class chinese quiz 2006 and we were told that we made it to the grand finals (top 3 classes fight it out) three days later. just ytd, we challenged 2.2 and 2.13 (the only IP class that made it through). it was basically general knowledge questions and some school-based ques. too ... 2.2 was leading at the start, followed by us and then last was 2.13. at one pt, we overtook 2.2 by 5 points, but they managed to answer a difficult question and ranked first by winning 20 points. ok ... not to confuse u any further, the final score was: 2.2 (65 Points) 2.7 (60 Points) 2.13 (- Points). and there's gonna be a prize presentation on monday in front of the whole school for this quiz thing ... so it has sorta make me a little happier. next up, it would be on this coming wednesday ... there's an inter-class vocal music (general music) singing presentation ... each class is supposed to send a representative grp to fight it out. and i'm glad to say that i'm part of it! *yay* we haven't really decided what song to sing ... but we have came up with a list of five songs and will choose one on Monday during music lesson. but we have decided not to pick the original song we sang during the preliminary round (julie garland's somewhere over the rainbow). however, this is only for the year 2 level ... so ... for other levels who wanna hear it ... i'm sorry, but probably u might've to ask ur teachers abt it. then just ytd afternoon + last night, i fell sick ... had dirrhoea and feeling nausea ... so didn't make it for canoeing this morning ... but now slowly recovering after following Mr See's + Mr Goh's method of drinking lots of water and lotsa rest. i hope will fully recover by tmr and then will be able to go for training on monday. talking abt mon, on that day ... we might be able to know what class we're going to next year (Yr 3) ... feeling bitter-sweet about this cuz of the new IP class i will be assigned to ... and new friends ... dunno whether will have some old friends that i know ... i definitely hope so...saturday, 22 Oct 2006
